Hello. I found out about your group online, but there wasn't a whole lot of detail about what you all do. I see you meet weekly, but do you plant herbs only at the parks? Do you give talks/gardening lessons? What? Do you accept volunteers? Do volunteers need any particular qualifications? I'm interested, but I don't know how interested to be because I'm confused! Help!

Hi Andrea,
The GCHS meets once a month - the second Thursday evening of every month. We are currently meeting in Crossroads Village and we allow guests to visit up to two meetings before making a commitment to join, so you are welcome to join us in the gardens of the Eldridge House at 6:30. (At this writing our next meeting is our plant exchange.) We are a non-profit educational organization so we concentrate on our garden projects at the Village.
We have speakers, we give a biannual Symposium, we have an invitational Tea every autumn. This year we will be at Ladies' Night Out at the Village. We do accept volunteers, they must commit to working on our projects.
Any more questions, let me know:)

To amend the previous comment: in the winter months we meet at the Carman-Ainsworth Senior Citizens Center on Graham Road, Flint Township. Same time and day. We move meetings back out to the Village in May.
